Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
I went out today after a favorable report to reconnect. The snow deck is wonderful and wide, however the single track is quite shallow where present. The tree canopy is different than other trails in the area so the snow depth and amount of pine sticks, stubble and needles in the tracks is greater. Probably shouldn't have used good skis, but between picking out sticks and moving around them I didn't do any damage. On the positive side, this is one of the most scenic trails in Itasca County and that is saying a lot. Plenty of animal tracks including turkey, wolf, and owl pounce marks.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
The trail was packed this morning, groomed right after, tracks went next. Be mindful of sticks and trees down with heavy winds coming in.
