Mountain View ski trails are open and were in good shape this morning. The temp was nearly 30 degrees at 10 am. I skied until noon. The classic tracks are holding up well and are clear of debris. Waxless skis worked perfectly this morning.

I skied Mtn View mid-afternoon on Wednesday. The groomer had been out to cut up the two downed trees, completely opening the classic tracks to all loops. Temps were comfortable and the conditions were very skiable. Thanks to Sharky for keeping Mtn View in good shape for Nordic skiers.

Fresh snow lightly covered the groomer's classic tracks on Friday morning, starting at 10 am. Another skier and I skied the entire loop, packing the fresh snow into the tracks. There are two trees across the trails after the recent winds, one just past the B cut-across to the right and one to the right of the C cut-across, but skiers can get over each of them, or alternatively just ski the inner loops.

With the new snow overnight, the classic tracks were snowed over. Mountain View was not yet groomed by our ace volunteer groomer, but there are 1-2 classic tracks skied in, depending on which part of the trail you're skiing. There's plenty of snow cover today and the woods dampened the wind. It was a good afternoon to check out Mtn View.

The classic trail was very recently groomed and then received a fresh covering of snow which has now been skied into the classic tracks. Excellent ski day at MountainView.

Conditions on the outer perimeter loop were good this morning. The classic tracks (thanks Sharky and Lin) are holding up well, except in those occasional spots where the deer have their way. Coverage is good overall. Tracks are set for the entire trail.
