Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We groomed twice today to continue to level the skate deck and to take advantage of the temperature drop this evening. Classic track was reset and looked pretty good. Still mixing the ice from last weeks freeze/thaw with the snow for the weekend. Skate deck was looking firm and fast by the time I finished. Tomorrow looks cold, but I think you will find good fast conditions and a wide firm and level skate deck if you venture out.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skate deck looked to have been recently groomed, skied-in by a dozen or so skiers before me. Decent coverage overall—I used my good skis. Hard pack in spots and blown-in in a few sections. Slower than I expected, but all in all nice. Classic tracks washed out in spots.

Skied the outer loop classic at around 1:00 pm today. Tracks were in good shape except on some of the uphills.

Spot on grooming here the last few days. Skated yesterday, cold snow, abrasive glide, but Saturday nights 2" snowfall was well incorporated into the icy crust. I jumped into the well formed classic track often for better glide. That well formed classic track made for a very good skied in track today with last nights powdery 2" snowfall. Skate deck was fresh cord. Sun felt good despite 7 degree temp. Snow blindness could have been a risk.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed with corduroy. Extra snow looks like it skied in nicely to the classic track. Come get some Monday fun in the sun.

Nice conditions after these couple of light snowfalls. If anything just slightly icy in some portions of the trails. I skiied classic but skate skiiers and youth classes seemed to all be enjoying themselves too.

Best conditions I've seen here this season. Nice classic tracks and a good skate lane. Skied the outer loop, just a few patches of grass poking through but otherwise great.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Everything is groomed and set. Skate deck was firming up nice. Classic track is shallow / crumbly in spots but wanted to set it for today. A little more snow should allow us to form it up better. Come and get it. MYSL will be out here for a few hours early afternoon and should help ski things in well.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Skated this trail this morning, didn't appear the trail had been recently groomed and is fairly icy and chopped up. A ton of long snow drifts on the trail which makes skiing very tricky. It's doable but not super enjoyable. Otherwise plenty of coverage. Just gotta wait for the wind to drop and groomer to come out.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Spent several hours going slow to break up the icy mess from the thaw followed by deep freeze. Left behind a chunky bed of snow that will hopefully bond with then new snow coming over the next few days. The wind will make grooming futile today but I’ll get out there overnight to get it ready for Sunday funday. Tracks were a useless bed if ice so were removed. I’ll reset if there is enough snow Sunday morning.
