Observation
[ Trails Open: All ]
I hiked the first third of the loop. There's still a substantial snow base and a few more inches fell yesterday. Wet, soft, sticky, and heavy. There are skier made tracks interlaced with the boot tracks but it looks like the grooming device on site has sat idle for a while.

Still technially skiable! No bare spots but lots of tree debris. At 3pm, 40F, the snow was very soft and slushy but wasn't sticking (used quick wax). Skis were sinking a lot. Doesn't look like it's been groomed recently but there were skier-created tracks to follow.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic Lost/Found
[ Good skis ]
Classic tracks were in surprisingly decent shape on most of the loop, as much skier set as groomed but fairly good quality. Drifting was starting to cover the tracks in some places but the light powder was ideal for cutting through. Found: There's a pair of sunglasses on the sign near the parking lot, teal tortoiseshell rims.

Fairly icy. Not the best track - old, but a beautiful morning. The largest downhill near the end (which is not very large) was a bit fast, rough and awkward for my mediocre skills.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Trail was packed and tracked on Thursday after 6" of new snow. Warmer daytime temps will soften the trail during the day but there is still a lot of snow out there. Enjoy!

Tracks in really nice condition. Just a little tree debris on the trail but that's the tradeoff for the beautiful setting.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The trail was packed very well and a classic track was set. The trail is looking great for skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, and skijoring. Please be sure to stay out of the classic tracks as the trail width allows.

First time on trail. Single classic tracks with snowshoeing and skijoring next to tracks. Seems to work just fine. Really beautiful trail. Very intimate and next to the pines. Plenty of snow.

Afternoon
Observation
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
A warm weekend followed by an inch of rain and a return to cold temps has made grooming challenging due to the amount of ice and lack of fresh snow. Tracks were not able to be re-set this week. However, the conditions allow for easy walking outside the classic tracks with little need for snowshoes. Icy conditions with a dusting of snow will make for a very fast-skiing trail, so exercise caution.
