Afternoon
Observation
[ Trails Open: All ]
Observed trail this afternoon for conditions. The temps were beautiful and there is plenty of snow to ski on. All loops have a base of 8+ inches. Track is visible in most places. The trail is skiable but it's icy. It's getting closer, if you know what I mean. So, get out there and enjoy what we have left.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
There is plenty of snow on the trail that has helped to create a beautiful base of 10+ inches and even more in some spots. Classic track has been set, so don't be afraid to use your good skis. All loops have great snow and boy have the deer been browsing heavy. Keep an eye out for them, they like to use the trail also.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All trail segments are groomed and look fabulous. There is 8+ inches of solid base. the snow was a bit loose because of the cold temps. Track has been set, hopefully the wind doesn't cover things up but if it does, I'm sure you will make your own track to ski over. Have a great time skiing with the beautiful weather. Get out there and enjoy the splendors of winter!

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Trails have been groomed but high winds may have covered the set track. Snow base is well packed and 5" to 8" throughout the majority of the trail system. There is more snow along the south side of the Blue Loop closer to Halls Lake. The use of your B skis may still be in order.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Yahoo! The Halls Creek Cross Country Ski trails have all been groomed and classic track has been set. The Green, Blue, and Red Loops all have a decent amount of snow on them, but you may find that the Blue Loop along Halls Lake has a bit more snow. The trails at this time have a 4"- 6" deep base of hard packed snow and ice providing a sturdy base but it does make it a little difficult to break up. The snow was rather dry and icy and void of moisture affecting the quality of the track that was set. Aside from that, the trails are in decent shape considering snow conditions. There were some stretches of trail that were hard to groom because of rutting caused by ATV's, UTV's, and snowmobiles. Classic skiers will find a fairly good skiing experience. For those of you who want to skate ski you may it to be a bit rough. So strap on your B skis and get out and enjoy the trails while you can.
