Skied from Amen Lake Trailhead to South and North Suomi. No recent grooming, skied the new snow in much of the track. This is a good time of the year to explore this course in warmer temps with skins or scales. It is beautiful, but can be tricky single track when the conditions are too fast.

A great ski on the north trails today. Just enough fresh snow to make the downhills manageable. Not too much debris given the recent wind.

Beautiful conditions Friday and Saturday! Fast track and so much snow! Skied South lot to North loop and back. The wolves and deer are enjoying the trails too.

Amazing grooming of the recent 8 inches plus drifts two feet high! Result: amazing skiing! Groomed wide enough to get ski out for safe descent as needed without damaging the firmly set track. Extra blue on this sunny calm blue sky afternoon. Temps climbed from 4 to 10 degrees.

Skied Amen and south Suomi yesterday, thought it could get by without grooming, but after skiing decided to groom this morning.

First time at Suomi, did south parking to Bighorn Lake loop. Tracks not fresh but in good shape. Had a blast, nice scenery.

Suomi Hills can be best described as "epic". You had better have a bit of SISU when you ski here! Constantly rolling terrain with wicked descents and tough climbs will test your strength and nerve! If you're tired of "perfect" tracks and are looking to spice it up a bit, Suomi is for you! You may not want to bring your best race skis however. The faster you go here the trickier it gets. I love it!

Grooming

Groomed Suomi Hills trails today. Nice skied in track in most places, but the wolves have no respect, oh well, it’s their place.

Track set firm and fast! Temps about 10 degrees. Blue special worked better than hard green. Really nice conditions! Beautiful snowladen woods. Broke a few branches back as we went. Still more to do.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed the Suomi trails today. About 5” of new snow since the last grooming. Skiers did a good job keeping the track open especially at south suomi. The deer and wolves had their way at the north end.
