Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I groomed the entire ski trail this morning. Conditions look excellent. The tracks are as good as they can get, deep and perfectly formed. Grooming plans: The next grooming will be after the weekend.

Lot was plowed and trails were just groomed! My husband did nearly all the west side trails in the morning, said conditions were excellent, and no one had used them yet. Then we went in afternoon on east side. A large group of snowshoers passed us on their way back in. Looks like they tried to be respectful of tracks, but being narrow trails at times sometimes one side of the track was marked up with snowshoes. They had not taken the extra mile loop so that was pristine! When we got back there were six more vehicles in the lot. Trails had lots of use today! Thanks grooming and plowing volunteers!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
It was finally cold enough today so I was able to groom the entire trail this morning using the drag and tracker. Things leveled out nicely and tracks are well formed but likely soft for now. Nonetheless it should be pretty OK, certainly better than the last few days with the heavy wet snow.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Not groomed recently. Intrepid individuals have made their way on the east side trails for some human formed tracks, but the going is still rather poor. Hoping they do some grooming again for more fun this season!

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
A fair amount of tree debris in many places and a very light coat of fresh powder on the trail, but a very nice day at this beautiful facility. Snow pack is deep (poles put too far out can go down 20"). Not too icy considering recent warm temperatures.

The entire ski trail was groomed this afternoon. Tracks are fully formed and deep and with a cold temps should firm up well. Conditions look excellent and should be the best of the year.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Packed and tracked both sides of the trail early this afternoon. As it seems to keep snowing, who knows how conditions might change over the weekend but for now it should be fine, although perhaps a bit soft. I will continue to monitor conditions and snowfall and temperatures and will groom again when appropriate.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed the East Side this morning.  Many trees were down across the trail complicating the process.  Grooming was delayed until today because of the warm temperatures.  With our equipment we cannot groom at temperatures above 26 degrees without problems. Three of us skied most of the West side this afternoon to check for downed trees and branches.  There is a mess of five downed trees on the Sylvania Loop near the lower crossing of FR6320.  We plan on clearing that mess Sunday morning.  We cut enough branches so if you take off your skis you can walk through  the mess.  There are skied in tracks on all of the west side except for the Deer Blind trail and skiing is good even though not groomed. Snow is still hanging on the trees and it is absolutely beautiful out.
