[ Bare ground ]
Zero signage for parking or the head of the trail. I drove around the parking lot several times without a clue. Found a map online and started close to where it seemed the trail began. There was no grooming. There are tire tracks where the map shows there are ski trails. I skied classic for 5 minutes and turned around. So disappointing.

Trails have decent coverage, pretty firm skate deck with occasional grass poking thru. Lots of hiking and dog footprints. No classic/double tracks.

Great ski morning with friends on fresh snow! The groomer was out continuing to refine the trail all morning. We skied both the official golf course ski trails and the opposite side across the bridge that is a groomed walking trail. The ski trail is double wide for both skate and classic but with the wind blowing across the golf course it was hard to find the trail and the tracks. The groomed walking trail is much less windy, has some nice down hills and much deeper snow. To ease tensions we suggest looking at the maps on the website to tell which trails are groomed for what as there is no signage out there.

So excited to learn Braemar was freshly groomed this morning so we headed right out. From the parking lot there was foot traffic on the trail and it continued as you cross the bridge to the other side of the road where the snow is much deeper and the walker did some serious damage to the groomers hard work. Signage needed as the walkers come off Gleason Road onto the trail. As we looped back toward the parking lot and a more extensive trail system we found a wider rolled trail that was also tracked. The snow isn't as deep on that side as it's more windblown. The wooded side across the road is deeper and very peaceful as the deer peer though the woods at us gliding along. Thanks Braemar for grooming this year!

Trails were groomed after our last snowfall, but warm weather and rain have left it icy and open spots. Waiting for more snow to regroom and open.

Much better conditions today as the snow dried out overnight, so no sticking. Lots of skier tracks all around the golf course. Skied the northwest section and had a great afternoon!

Our first ski this year was on natural snow. Trails ungroomed. We skied the northeast section which seemed to be less windblown. One other skier had tracked a trail that we followed. It is fully covered but wet underneath which caused some sticking.
