Great day at Whitetail Woods! Warm sunshine despite the cold temperatures. Trail coverage was good, some thin spots on the eastern trails adjacent to Lone Rock. Get out and enjoy.

Trails had been groomed day prior (classic) and with additional fluff in morning provided a wonderful ski. Hill drops were starting to lose one set of tracks to braking but due to limited usage one side is often still untouched. Starting to thin to translucent in open fields exposed to sun but still covered adequately with very little if any debris on the south end. Did not ski the north loop by cabins nor the beginners loop. Can only speak for south/southeast loop.

Skied the trails south and east of the entrance road (not those by the camper cabins). Good coverage, rolled with a looser layer on top from the dusting two days ago, skier tracked (shallow). Dakota County website says poor conditions, but I would say fair to good. No rocks, bare spots or boilerplate. A little grass showing through here and there. The meadow trails have a fairly even surface and don't need much snow for good coverage. Saw 3 other skiers, and a frozen snake on the trail. The connecting Lone Rock trails have not been rolled and are closed due to hunting, but there were some ski tracks on them.
