Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Nicely groomed following Wednesday's snow. Debris is mostly ok except in the pine forest where you have pick your path as best you can. The skate deck looked great but was narrow in a few sections.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Plenty of snow. Groomed after last snowfall. Some icy spots, many leaves in classic tracks. A few walkers have ignored the signs about staying off groomed ski trails.

Observation
Went to check out if this was skiable but they have not groomed for quite a while. Very icy and where it wasn't icy, it was drifted. Didn't attempt it and went elsewhere. Disappointed as this is one of the best places to ski in the area. Grooming isn't done by the Brainerd Nordic Ski club though.

[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Almost 40 degrees by the time we got out and the trails were decently covered but getting sticky by the time we ended. More snow would do the trails well!

About 1" of fresh powder on the Nordic ridge trails fell on Saturday. Trail coverage is great. Skated on Saturday and classic on Sunday. They now have signs up saying the groomed trails aren't for walkers - finally. Some folks already ignored it but it may help.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
The trails were recently groomed and in great condition. Skied skate ski but the classic tracks appeared to be in top condition. A big thanks to the trail grooming crew!

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Skate deck was nicely set. There's a layer of ice which was manageable at 35 f. Trail has lots of debris, especially in the woods. There were so many needles and pine cones down in a few spots that walking in the skis was the only option. Classic tracks were filled with leaves.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Recent melt and freeze made the skate tracks mostly solid ice. No bite for ski edge. Classic ruts exist, but also icy and probably won't allow kick. Debris in spots, but little to no open ground.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Rock skis ]
Trails not yet groomed, but fun for a first ski of the year. Debris on trail and some bare rocks. Enjoyed the quiet time on the trails and wishing for more snow!
