I skied all the loops except Lakeview and Buckthorn. The trails haven't been groomed in a while, but the tracks are in pretty good shape. There are very few leaves and twigs. On one of the plantation lanes and on half of the Clearcut loop, the ski tracks are polluted with boot tracks. Overall, it was a good day on snow; I give it an 8.

Beautiful day at Hayward Hospital Trails. Snow is deep and hanging from the trees like cotton. Tracks were set except for the Buckthorn Loop, which had volunteer tracks for the adventurous. We did not venture in there but stayed on the groomed trails and skied all the rest. The tracks were freshly formed but a bit soft. They should be great after they firms up. Beware occasional twigs sticking through.

The traiIs are now groomed and double-tracked. Conditions are excellent except that in some places there are woody stems leaning over the track. There's minimal twigs and leaves. Except for the leaners I would score the experience as a 10, but I have to back it off to 9. I skied all the loops except the Lake View and Buckthorn loops. I presume Lake View is open and groomed but Buckthorn was blocked by a construction fence when I tried to hike it a few weeks ago.
