Pointless effort to skate, as herd of bison had preceded us. Woods loop hasn't been groomed in a long time. Classic track pretty good.

Tracks good at 2:00 pm before groomer started regrooming. It appeared as if the groomer was grooming some trails that had not been groomed earlier in the week.

Tracks were fantastic. Skating lanes were great except in a few areas where walkers had been. Trails will be groomed late Friday because there will be a number of skiers doing their virtual Birkie there Saturday morning.

Good tracks, very little blown-in snow. Snow slow enough that downhills could be done in tracks. Thanks groomers!

After a ski outing at McMiller in the Southern Kettle Moraine earlier in the day, we stopped in at this trail for the first time. The trails (suitable for striding or skating) in the park were on an old farm and featured gradual climbs and descents, as well as flat sections, and some nice views of the surrounding countryside. Trails were in good condition and had been groomed recently. A very quiet, peaceful place to ski just northwest of Fort Atkinson.

Groomed this afternoon. Great conditions. Skating lane a little soft but tracks were great and tracked all the way around.

Head of Jefferson County Parks just sent a text saying trails were groomed this morning. I was out there yesterday and were great. Had about 3 inches of snow. But don’t know if if they set tracks all the way around.

Got there at noon, groomed for skating only but groomer started at one. There should have been enough for setting tracks. Should be great tomorrow morning.

[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Skied there this morning and skating lanes were in good shape. Groomed late yesterday. Classic tracks were non-existed for the most part. Signs are up asking the walkers to walk on the sides of the trail and they were doing so. Very few prints in skating lanes. All trails are two-way so double the terrain options. Praying for good snow so they can set tracks again.

Did the SISU 30K virtual race there Monday. They were grooming while we skied. The start was a little ruff because it hadn't been groomed since Saturday morning and trail had lots of footprints on it. But once groomer was out there, we just followed him around the trail. We went thru the woods threee times. I have said in the past to avoid it but since it had just been groomed it was great. Wind started picking up at about 22K and the rime ice started coming off the trees, it was like a snow storm, very unique experience.
