Man made snow classic tracks were fantastic at 10:30 this morning. Thank you groomers for a fast 5 mile workout. I'll see you again tomorrow - Wow.

7am, Groomer at work. Bronze trail grooming finished after 8:30 am. Classic track set as well as skate lane. Great spring skiing at BC. Note for skaters: Do not skate onto classic track! Enjoy spring skiing. Thank you Ramsey Co grooming crew.

Skied the snowmaking loop and that extra top overlook oval late afternoon with my son Peter. Shockingly good conditions for March 22nd, despite expected slushiness with some dirty snow and a couple of semi-icy patches. Above-freezing temps were the key to the trail's skiability today.

BC man made trails were amazing this morning with one caveat for this early morning skier... no lights. Lights had typically been on prior to 6am, but no lights this morning as we were leaving at 7am.

One more time the man made snow loop was groomed and new tracks set. Still looking good. Lots of skiers out enjoying the bright sunshine on Monday.

The skate deck on the Silver trail was groomed late night. I got most of the deep skate marks out and left the classic track as is, they looked good. The Gold trail and Ski Games were not touched. The PB was out working when I left, report to come later.

Natural Snow Trails Gold and Ski Games: Groomed 3 passes on Gold, it ranges from mostly fair to poor in a few places where there is ice (the 90 deg turn and multiple spots on the long climb adjacent to the prairie (snowmaking). Both steep descents were deeply grooved by snowplowing - we flattened it some but there are still stretches where the center of the trail is very hard - the edges are better. Classic tracks on Gold were left as is - they appeared to be in reasonable shape. Did a single pass on Ski Games - this trail while skiable, is in poor condition with many full-width, ice pools - we knocked many of the worst ski grooved. If you choose to go on Ski Games be careful.

The bright sunshine and warm afternoon temps had soften the trail considerably in several areas so I was glad to see that it had firmed up again for tonight's grooming. The man made loops and the silver trail were groomed and new tracks set. Some isolated icy patches are starting to become apparent and some of the classic tracks may have some icy patches in them but overall there should be some good skiing to be enjoyed.

Phenomenal conditions this morning! Skied everything. Man-made snow was absolutely pristine. Natural trails east of Battle Creek Rd were superb besides one icy spot at the turn before the uphill by the intersection of the Goat mtb trail. Ski Games loop had a handful of icy patches, but still great coverage. Also the lights were not on prior to sunrise, not sure if this is a one-off issue? Amazing season at BC! Maybe April skiing still in the cards?!
