Icy today but most of the trail is in good condition. Some dirt and grass on the classic track but it is easy to avoid.

Very nice conditions at Phalen. At least three passed wide, flat skate deck, and very nice tracks. Just a few spots of grass in the tracks on the south end as you turn away from Arcade St.

The cross country ski trail at Phalen golf course was groomed this morning. The skate deck is in great shape with a few spots with grass showing. The classic track has been set. Enjoy!

Went for a quick ski tonight and found the trail wind blown, no tracks set. The deck was rutted and hard packed with abrasive snow blown across most of the trail. Seems like plenty of snow, just needs a little grooming.

Awful. Rock-hard trail with very thin, washed-out tracks skied in for less than half the route. Blown in in places (which actually helped the striding). Almost unskiable. Skating did not look much better - boilerplate that really needs grooming before it's skiable. Not recommended!

The trails were drifted over this morning making many areas soft and slow. There are a few icy patches and some grass poking through as well. Hopefully the groomer can make another pass to smooth things out.

The trail at Phalen golf course was rolled/packed this morning. The base is thin but overall it’s in good condition. No classic tracks have been set.

Phalen was good again today. Skate deck getting close to boiler plate if you ski down the middle but there is plenty of room to move over and find some nice soft snow. I think the classic tracks which were skier set are still pretty good. Looks like lots of use. There seems to be a good base, just need a bit more snow.

Phalen is holding up well. Not recently groomed, but skate deck was very skiable (if a little bumpy in areas). Very little grass/debris. Skier made classic tracks through much of the course, but washed out some placed.

Nice four mile loop. Very good coverage, did not see anything showing through the snow other than spots where animals have been digging. Skate deck is a little rough, it won't take much for the groomer to smooth it out. Skied in classic tracks were good. Plenty of people out enjoying the sun!
