Notes

Trails are on the golf course. Some nice hills but most of the course is pretty exposed. There is one back leg that is quite shaded and seems to hold snow long after the rest of the course loses it. Rentals at the chalet.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Beautiful weather and great to have loads of snow. Everything had been groomed for a once over but the deck was pretty soft, no issues for damage just hard work and slow.

They had just finished grooming when I got there. The 5k loop is practically perfect, especially in this weather.

Morning
Secondhand
Just spoke with staff at Como: They are grooming the trails now, 10:30 a.m. on Saturday morning. Typically Phalen and Highland, in that order, get groomed after Como. I have no idea how long it will take.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
Given the low snow amounts, not surprisingly, no trails have been groomed. There are a fair number of ski track going all over, seeking the deepest snow available. Lots of grass and goose poop is showing and snow coverage over the asphalt cart paths is very thin. It was nice to get out in the sun, on the snow that was there, but Como really need more snow to make skiing enjoyable. The ground under the snow is not frozen. The snow & grass combination was slow and I was getting some icing on skins towards the end of my morning ski.
