Night
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Came to destress after work. Classic skied 13 km... about 38 minutes. The snow is silly fast, firm, double poled and enjoyed the ride. Kick was great with skins. Tracks were alittle shallow, but solid and true. The only problem I had was trying not to take one ski out of the tracks on a couple of the tight turns. Unbelievably fun! Thank you groomers!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Nice day to be out on the trails today. Classic tracks were set and deep. Fast but not icy. Skate deck was rough, looked like it had been awhile since they were groomed. Good conditions overall.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Warm night for a serene after work glide through the woods. Classic skied 13 km, 45 minutes. Conditions are great, but due to the warm weather today the tracks and skate deck are a bit soft. Kick is phenomenal, but glide was a bit dampened down this evening pole plants poked through here and there. If it cools down it should form up again. All and all just what I needed! Thank you groomers!

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Strided all the trail segments here late morning on this flat to gently rolling trail system. It is double-track set throughout in an attractive woodland, and some of the trail segments also have a wide skate lane. The tracks were firm and fun!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Ashland ski trail was groomed and tracked this morning - was just like being in Narnia! Lots of snow which covered most of the pesky white pine twigs. Trail was soft, but who cares on such a beautiful day in the woods. We'll try to get it groomed again over the weekend. Conditions are very good.

Classic skied 13 km, 42 minutes tonight. Conditions are excellent. Fresh grooming today after the snow the past couple of days. Tracks are deep, firm, kick is awesome, and glide was excellent! Skate deck is medium firm. Just a super fun ski! It was a kick double-pole kinda ski. I loved it. I needed that. Thank you groomers!

Unreal. Classic skiing was great tonight. Classic skied 13 km, 41 minutes. So fun. Tracks are deep to mid deep, good kick with skins, but glide is like butter on a hot biscuit. 90% double poling, 10% kick double-poling. Definitely a great way to decompress after two 12-hour shifts! Thank you Andy and groomers!

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skated a couple of laps today and the trails are in great shape! Skate deck was firm and consistent, tracks looked excellent as well. Some debris in the trails still, but nothing that I was worried about damaging skis.

Evening
Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Tried both skate and classic on the trails this evening, and was pleasantly surprised. While definitely B or rock skis due to periodic twigs, pine needles, and some cones, the tracks are sufficiently deep and the skate deck firm and fast. A few skate pole plants popped deep into the snow, but nothing that slowed us down. Classic-only portions were great and everything was double-tracked throughout. While it could use another groom due to lots of skier use since last grooming, this is well worth it, and a fabulous resource for the town of Ashland!

Ashland ski trails trails (hospital trails) were groomed and tracked this beautiful Monday morning. Tracks look good, a bit of white pine debris blown down over the weekend. Merry Christmas!
