Skied the lighted loops at OO. Snow was soft on the loops but OK on the main Birkie trail. Quite a few of the lights were not on and this made for excellent practice in spontaneous balance practice. The long S curve hill at the end of the loop was pitch black.

The loops at the American Birkebeiner Trailhead (start area) are groomed and tracks are set. The skate trail from OO to Boedecker is groomed for both skate and classic. We'll continue to update as more sections are groomed. Tracks have been set on all three Easy Strider loops at the OO Trailhead.

Skied the trails at OO this morning. The lighted loop trails were pristine, I would rate them as excellent for skate and classic. Remarkably firm considering how much snow we got. There was grooming done on the skate trail going north of OO too, but I didn't ski it. Add a blue sky day and comfortable temps, and it was a joy to be on the trail today. Thanks to the groomers for getting the trail groomed so early this year, and early this morning as well.

Birkie start area, snowmaking loop was perfect with 1K classic and skate. The world cup trails are very skiable, used good skis, no problems. Typical Birkie early skiing. Plenty of terrain to ski. No tracks on WC trails. Worth the trip.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
This morning we groomed and set a classic track from OO to Boedecker on both the Birkie Skate and Birkie Classic trails. It's fairly soft but gives more options to ski the Birkie Trail. Enjoy!

Lighted trail system at OO trailhead was groomed and tracked as advertised. Conditions very good for both. South of picnic table hill had been groomed (not tracked) but seemed soft, as if recently groomed, so I turned back to let it set up. Ned was heading out to track Easy Strider. Thanks to the groomers. Happy, happy Thanksgiving!
