Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
All trails groomed yesterday and today. Skate deck is in very good condition. A couple of spots of grass showing on the golf course (easily avoided), woods have very good coverage. Not enough snow to set good tracks for classic. Flat portion of the road from the parking lot not groomed - use the golf course trail.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Trails are in fair condition, but very skiable. No classic tracks have been set - not enough snow. Skate deck is good in most places, some large bare spots under trees on the golf course. The upper woods sections are good - Log, Bicentennial and Hickory. Avoid the road from the parking lot (lots of ruts and not groomed in sections), use the golf course trail to get to the woods.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
Updated grooming plans: Lower Hixon grooming won't happen until Sunday morning when temps hopefully get below freezing. We recommend not using any trails at this time to preserve the snow we do have.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Most of the trails to the west are in good shape with some minor bare spots and foot traffic misshaping. The trails towards the east are in less than desirable conditions with many exposed sections and debris on trails (I wouldn’t bother skiing anything towards the bluffs). As of right now, Hixon offers the best skiing in the area.

Evening
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Groomer was out on Wednesday evening and looked to be grooming all ski trails both on and off the golf course. Snow coverage isn’t great yet on the trail leading south from the parking lot along the edge of the woods, but trails further from the lot and trails on the golf course itself were in good shape for skate skiing. Classic tracks were not set yet.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Rock skis ]
I classic skied the marked trails on the golf course, but did not go into the forest. Nothing is groomed, but there's enough snow to toodle around with ease. Grass and sticks are visible in places that have been skied over quite a bit, but there's also plenty of fresh snow to detour through if you're being a bit more careful with your skis. Watch out for the sledders coming down the hills!
