Bundle up and get out on the trails. The classical track is in great shape and the skating lanes have been touched up this morning. When your done stop at the Chalet for some hot chocolate or tea and a few fresh cookies. See you on the trails!

[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We skied the MECCA Trails Tuesday afternoon. The trails were excellent, great snow coverage, 5" of base, no bare spots and tracks were near perfect. It was great to see some students from Fe University learn to ski program on the trails.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Once again our great crew was out battling the elements to bring everyone some of the best skiing in Northern Wisconsin. Trail was totally groomed with new tracks set and is in excellent condition for the weekend. Those of you up here for the SISU, check MECCA out for a much more leisurely ski on your way home, with a nice warm chalet to relax in for those that don't feel like skiing.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
With the latest snowfall, all we had to do is wait for the temps to drop and we got out and groomed the trail system. Conditions are very good to excellent, but the wind was howling while grooming so expect some drifting in the open areas. We will be re grooming before the weekend so get out and cut up the trail this week.

I skied here three weeks ago and conditions have improved immensely since then. All the trails appeared to have been freshly groomed. The skate deck was reasonably firm and about average speed. The scenery is always spectacular. I skied about 14 km and conditions were good to very good.

Grooming Scheduling
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Happy New Year everyone, and with the new year we got a little more snow for the trail. Trail has been groomed and tracked this morning and ready for a great winter of skiing. Some rough spots are still out there, but as a whole the trail is in great shape. Anyone interested in learning more about skiing contact Fe University which will be giving a lesson on January 3rd. See you on the trail!

2 to 3" fresh, light snow on top of firm, groomed skate deck and classic tracks. Always a nice finish to an Ironwood trip. Skied all the skate trails, just enough snow for fun ski.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Good conditions to very good. The trail has been completely groomed and tracked after the snow/rain event of early this week. The temps dropped sufficiently enough to groom the wet snow that was on the trail. We received about 3" of snow but with the rain mixed in there was an ice layer to try to bust up and lay down. With that the trail is in good condition with a few areas of grass still showing, and some puddles have come up through the grooming, so be careful as these freeze. Keep leaving sacrifices to Heinke Lunta to bring more snow. See you on the Trail.

Afternoon

The trails have all been dragged but they need more snow to level the trail and set a track. I was able to skate the trail system, but it was very uneven. There were also a number of areas where the sun had melted much of the snow they had. If you have no other options, try this trail. Otherwise, I would wait for more snow.

Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Entire trail system was packed and combed Thursday night; not enough snow currently to set a decent track. Ski experience is "early season skiing conditions" with bumpy sections however entire system is completely snow covered.
