Notes

Trails are on rolling glacial terrain through pine, spruce and tamarack forests. A heated chalet with a vault toilet, wax bench, and changing room is located at the Cabin trailhead. There is a second trailhead at the Little Turtle Flowage parking lot.

Groomers were out this afternoon renovating and combing the skate lanes.  A short section of the Moose and Homestead Loops were not groomed.  Tracks that were set over the weekend are still in great shape; firm and deep.  Tomorrow is shaping up to be an enjoyable day to ski.

The skate lane was groomed today and is in great condition as trails are prepped for MECCA's Winterfest Live Event on Saturday. The tracks have some snow drifting but are still good.

A beautiful morning on the trails! Groomers reset tracks on Wolf trail and groomed the skate side of MECCA's Winterfest trails - trails marked for MECCA's upcoming Winterfest event happening next weekend. Early morning happy skiers are saying trails are in excellent shape!

Excellent conditions. Skated the 15 k winterfest designated route. Skate deck was firm and even. Wonderful scenic area. Excellent trail grooming.

The trail was firmer than I expected after the recent 5 inches of new snow. Trees are snow covered and the trails are as scenic as any around.

All trails were groomed and tracks were set this morning. With 5" of new snow, trails are soft, but the trees are glistening. A beautiful day to ski!

Snow, snow, lovely snow! 7" of fresh snow. MECCA groomers got all trails rolled today. Grooming plans: Early tomorrow morning we will start setting tracks and grooming skate trails. Trails should be in great shape for a great a weekend of skiing.

Skate lanes across the entire system were groomed. Skate lanes are smooth and firm, with just a few soft spots. New tracks were set on the Wolf loop; tracks are firm and deep. The weather is beautiful and our trails are in great shape.

Fantastic classic skiing. Nice full depth tracks. Skate lane fantastic as well. Post card scenery! Toasty trailhead cabin. Snowshoeing here also. All trails are very well marked. 19F degrees when I skied.
