Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Main trails are PB groomed, firm, nice tracks. Many others have been combed. Still a few of the longer trails need to be opened up, but are being worked on daily. With all this record snowfall, skiing is great.

With their expert groomers and equipment, conditions for the Wolf Tracks rendezvous race were fantastic. The skate lanes were fast with corduroy and good edging. The tracks were firm and were used much for the skaters. The 24k race was fun and had a good time.

Very good conditions for skating and solid track for striding. Snow is squeaky and somewhat slow due to the cold temps (around 0 today).

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Classic skied today for almost 4 hours. Tracks were set on just about everything we wanted to ski, and skate deck was firm and fast. Regardless of the new snow that fell during the day and the lower temps, skiing was great. We decided to get out of the wind and did single tracks and explored many areas not seen before. It's hard to enjoy in cold and wind, but that's what we did. (VR30 did the trick).

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Skied Cedar creek part of Big pine and Side kick today. These trails are single track classic only. They were groomed for the first time this year. It was a very nice ski with good tracks and no icy patches or bare spots. Also skied Tornado alley and XC express to connect the single track trails. The tracks are holding up nicely and the dusting of snow helped with the kick today. Skate decks looked good also.

[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
The fresh PistenBully groomed trails were fantastic today...deep fast tracks and beautiful corduroy! Trails are starting to level out and any thin spots and debris are slowing disappearing. It's close to being good ski conditions on most of the skate decks.

The groomed trails were very fast but still good edging. It was wonderful at 15 degrees and 4mph wind.
With 1" new snow on a 5-7" base, MWP should continue be nice skiing for the days ahead.

Skied to Lake Maria on corduroy groomed trails that was still good skiing despite the 12 degree temperature. The trail is very scenic and fun variable terrain.

By far the best ski conditions this season. 4" of new snow groomed on a 4" base made for great glide with good edging and no ice. We skied the Wolf tracks trail which was very enjoyable.
