The fresh PistenBully groomed trails were fantastic today...deep fast tracks and beautiful corduroy! Trails are starting to level out and any thin spots and debris are slowing disappearing. It's close to being good ski conditions on most of the skate decks.

The groomed trails were very fast but still good edging. It was wonderful at 15 degrees and 4mph wind.
With 1" new snow on a 5-7" base, MWP should continue be nice skiing for the days ahead.

Skied to Lake Maria on corduroy groomed trails that was still good skiing despite the 12 degree temperature. The trail is very scenic and fun variable terrain.

By far the best ski conditions this season. 4" of new snow groomed on a 4" base made for great glide with good edging and no ice. We skied the Wolf tracks trail which was very enjoyable.

After a major meltdown, leaving some brown here and there, and just a few icy patches, the grooming crew worked magic. While the number of trails were reduced, the open ones were great fun and offered "Hero snow"; transitioned (Many times) tumbled, tilled, and reduced to fast white ice crystals, a pleasingly crunchy corduroy. This was the occasional skate for me, but conditions made my recovering V2 the gear of choice as I breezily muscled my way around the Cookie Loop. Best spring skiing in January I've ever experienced.

River Run is one of my favorites and it was groomed on Friday so I decided to give it a try. I usually skate it but I opted to classic ski it today. I'm afraid that probably was not a good choice. There were many areas with extensive forest debris on the trail and in the track. With the warm temps, it was slow going and control on the hills was less than optimal. Overall, classic ski conditions were fair at best. I do believe I would have fared better on my skate skis. That being said, the scenery was still good,.

Good conditions on most of the trails we skied. Groomers did fantastic with what they had. Somewhat scratchy on X-C Express, especially near Nose Dive Alley. Nepco's Cruise skied well with a couple small sections where groomers had brought up dirt. Everything else we skied was great.

Had a great classic ski out on Wolf Tracks today! Some of the best skiing in the park! The dustings of snow we have been getting are really freshening up the tracks and are starting to cover some of the icy patches (few and far between). Wolf Tracks is not recommended past the cabin (ungroomed with deep frozen skate marks) so the beginning part is temporarily two-way with a track on each side.

Classic conditions were quite good today. I like to take the long route out to Wolf Tracks which would be base loop to Tornado valley to Survivor to XC Express and then on to Nekoosa and Wolf Tracks. The trail is not groomed past the cabin, but there is a decent skier track that I returned on. Total distance was 22 km. It was a fine day of classic skiing.

Pretty nice skate skiing today. Decent glide and edging . Base is thin but not impeding in any way. I used B skis only because of some pine needles here and there but no real damage to worry about. I classic skied yesterday and had fun double poling in the fast tracks with occasional debris.
