Grooming is finished for the season. Soft, slow going. Interior trails have better glide than those not groomed recently, but still a slog. Not very many bare spots though. Gate to the park is now closed.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Today is the last day for our grooming operations! The Pisten Bully went out one last time this morning setting new skate decks on the interior trails and new classic tracks on Silver Strider, Nepco's Cruise, and Sleigh Ride. Conditions are looking great for this time of year. Hit the trails early and avoid the afternoon sticky snow! Thanks for a great year!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
We're back open and grooming for the next few days as conditions allow! The Pisten Bully re-groomed many of the interior trails this morning and set new classic tracks and skate decks! The trails conditions are really good with only a few thin spots showing up on the south facing banks. We received a little fresh snow for the recent storm which has helped freshen the trails up nicely. This weekend will probably be the last grooming of the year.

Observation Scheduling
[ Trails: Closed, B skis ]
Due to this morning's ice accumulations and a forecast of rain/wintry mix for the next day, the park will be closed today and tomorrow. We will assess the conditions as soon as possible to see if we can open for the weekend. Be safe!

Another awesome day of spring skiing at Winter Park Minocqua. Solid base with fresh groom of 2" top made for fast and fun. Skied Tornado, Survivor, X-C, Silver Strider, Nebcos, Base loop and Creek. Used good skis although a few spots with debris of twigs and remains of some downed branches. Tracks about 90% in tact still.

Most of the interior trails are groomed and in great shape, skiing fast and firm! Best trails are Base loop, Tornado Alley, Island Hop, southern half of XC and Silver Strider. The outer trails are not groomed (Lake Marie, C & D and Wolf Tracks), but I skied them and only encountered a few small trees across the trail due to the ice storm 5 days ago. Enough snow fell after the ice storm to easily get an edge and it skied fast, a little icy in the pines, but still doable. I would use B skis if you venture onto the ungroomed trails. Overall a pleasant experience as I am up here for 3 days. Thank You Winter Park, great friendly people running the place. Great place to ski and enjoy the relaxing chalet. Come and enjoy!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Fresh snow and fresh grooming this morning! Almost all interior trails now have have fresh classic tracks and skate decks. Conditions are very nice on the groomed trails with only a few thin spots here and there. Our base is holding strong with about a 3-7" average throughout the park. If you venture out on the ungroomed trails expect some tree debris from the recent storm. Grooming planned through the weekend.

Clean up efforts have now begun after the storm now that the snow has dried up. Crews went out to clear debris and groom up Cookie Loop, Base Loop, Sleigh Ride, and Red Pine this morning with the Pisten Bully. There's fresh classic tracks and skate decks out there now. Conditions are actually pretty nice out there! Some thin spots and gravel in places. Groomers will plan to be out again tonight getting trails ready for the weekend.

Went out for a skate ski around noon today and had a blast even though things were starting to get soft and slow by early afternoon. Last night the groomers hit nearly all interior trails and Wolf Tracks and the conditions were very good! Coverage was great on all the trails I skied (Base Loop, Tornado Alley, Survivor, Yukon to Island Hop, and Nepco's). Only a few bare spots that were easily navigated. Groomers plan to be out again tonight!
