Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The Pisten Bully hit the trails this morning after a weather and "gremlin" delay the last few days. Groomers got almost the entire park groomed up including one long trail: Lake Marie. Lots of fantastic trails to chose from today and conditions are excellent. We still have lots of snow to play in up here. But head out early today to beat the heat.

The groomers had equipment problems and were not able to groom this morn so the trails were packed and icy this morning at 10am. I waited until 11 for conditions to soften and it worked. Although still a little icy, I had an excellent true spring ski regardless of the increased detritus that is inevitable. Get there soon. Ski in warm weather.

Great conditions for this time of year however high winds did some damage. River Run had some areas of blowing snow that filled into tracks just after hill bypass. Island hop completely drifted over in center, so I turned around. Beginning of Base loop also filled in tracks from blowing snow. Still a great day of skiing.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Another little bit of snow last night! Groomers got out and set classic tracks and skate decks on almost all trails including River Run and Lake Marie. It looks and feels very wintery today so take advantage of these conditions while they last! It's a bit blustery today but most of the trails are well protected from the wind.

I arrived around 11:30 this morning and was impressed that most of the core trails had already been groomed for skating. Classic track had also been set on some of the core trails. Additionally, Wolf Tracks had already been groomed for both skate and Classic skiing. I used my new Solomon S-Lab cold skate skis which I had waxed with Swix 7 glide wax. I found skate conditions to be excellent with a solid and fast skate deck. I took a long route out to Nekoosa and Wolf Tracks. Conditions on Nekoosa and Wolf Tracks were the best I have ever encountered there. I enjoyed a brisk tail wind all the way to the cabin. The wind was against me on the way back but it wasn't that bad. By the time I finished Nekoosa and Wolf Tracks, the skate deck was starting to get a wee bit icy. I finished my 22 kilometer outing in just over two hours. It was a most enjoyable ski outing. Kudos to the groomers for delivering such awesome conditions after yesterday's rain.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We survived the rain yesterday and ended up with about an inch and a half of snow which really helped improve the trail conditions! Now that the snow has drained out a bit from all that moisture, the Pisten Bully was able to hit the trails this morning and till up a few ski routes: Silver Strider, Red Pine, Nepco's Cruise, XC Express, Tower Rd, Base Loop. A smaller drag is out setting skate decks on Tornado Alley and Survivor. Conditions on the fresh groomed trails are great with full depth classic tracks and good edge control on the skate decks. There may be some minor wet spots in a few low areas this morning, but everything is drying out nicely. More snow in the forecast tonight.

Observation
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
True spring conditions out at the park this morning: it was too warm to groom last night and the trails are pretty sticky and wet this morning. A great day to bust out the skin skis if you have them! Photo was taken on Silver Strider at 8:30am. The good news is that we have a ton of snow on the trails: 16" in spots.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Conditions are excellent out there right now! Our snow depth on trails is averaging around 12-14" so there's lots of snow to play in! The Pisten Bully went out and groomed up about 15km of interior trails and one long one: River Run! Temperatures will warm up quickly so be sure to head out early.

Currently snowing very heavily! It snowed about 4" last night with more expected during the day today. The Pisten Bully went out this morning to groom up some trails. Expect soft and slow conditions today. Grooming plans: The main grooming effort will take place overnight tonight once the snow stops.Winter just keeps coming!

Great conditions, tracks set lots of snow. Teahouse great for refreshment during long ski. Skied Wolf tracks, xc express, Nebco's to name a few. Not a very busy day people wise.
