Nice warmup room overlooking Afterglow Lake. Trails are now level, flat and even end to end and side to side. Trail 5 is perfectly flat and level. 100% open.

Once again we enjoyed some of the best groomed trails around! Great conditions for both classic and skate. And if you enjoy fat biking, trails are firm and in excellent shape. We love coming to Afterglow!

Skied and snowshoed at Afterglow the last four days. The conditions were excellent in all phases--skate lanes, classic track, and groomed snowshoe/fat-bike trails all excellent. If you are able, staying in the cabins mid-week at Afterglow is a real treat. The cabins are lovely, very comfortable. Ours had a full kitchen. It is very relaxing there. We never left the grounds from Sunday through Wednesday morning and used the trails multiple times every day. Thanks, Pete and Gail!

Another excellent day of skiing and well worth the hour plus drive for me. Both classic track and skate lane second to none with enough variety of terrain for all skill levels.

Pete outdid himself again with near perfect grooming! (as is his habit, I think). I was striding but the skate deck looked level and inviting. His groomer's reports are almost always spot on...under sell/over deliver must be the rule. Highly recommend the terrain and the grooming. Though I found some acceptable tracks in the Rhinelander area this was definitely worth the extra drive today.
