Fabulous skiing! Firmly packed powder, super flat skate deck with fast, powdery corduroy. Makes you feel like a Superhero! Conditions that Birkie skiers dream of! If you have tomorrow off, check it out. Consistently meticulously groomed. Well worth the drive!

I can not imagine the amount of work that went into getting the trails open. Actually we toured the trails today. Just enjoying the scenery. The trees were holding mass quantities of snow. Trails were groomed to perfection. A very good workout.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
14" new snow. Very good to excellent conditions. Normally with 4" new snow we would do 2 passes. One for skate land and one to set classic track. With 14" new snow we completed 7 passes on every trail. We also have trimmed back all branches and small trees hanging over the trails. From the freezing rain a week ago until now, I have never trimmed this many trees in a week in our long history.

Excellent! 10 for 10 on skate and classic! Two days ago 1/2" of ice fell covered by snow, just like a hard wax cover of klister. 4" new snow fell overnight. Two situations, the groomer responded with different methods for both, amazing!

Pete did his magic this morning. Wow! What looked truly impossible yesterday after the ice storm came through and fully iced the trails became skiable once again. Six hours of hard work grooming and branch removal got the trails in skiable condition. I only skated on Trail #1 but it was far better than expected. Grooming ground up the ice and with about and inch of new snow created a good mix that made today's ski possible. Thank you Pete Moline, greatly appreciated!

An inch of new snow. Very good to excellent. Groomed all skate lanes. The rain soaked through the skate lane so the trail is not a block of ice. Rather it is a very skiable surface. The bottom of the full depth classic track has snow and hard wax will work fine. Grooming skate should take 2 hours flat in perfect conditions -- today it took 6 hours 45 minutes because of all the branches and small trees hanging over the trail that needed to be cut and removed.
