Woo-hoo! Hit the PRT trifecta--excellent double-track grooming, beautiful sunny skies, and minimal oak leaf debris! It was excellent. Skied the whole loop from Barbara's Lane end, and even did an extra blue loop at the end. Decided to go out early, risking colder temps vs. higher wind. Wind was not noticeable 90% of the time due to the woods coverage. You could feel it on the field near 66 and along Airport. Made some clothing adjustments that actually worked. Despite -10 temp, my feet, hands, and face/eyes were completely comfortable. As you would expect, there wasn't much glide--although I had more than I thought I would have. First time on classic skis this season, so last night I scraped off summer wax and brushed. That's all. It was fine. Mohair kick zones performed perfectly--never slipped or grabbed. Get out while to the Wells while you can, as the oak leaves won't wait for you!

The trails are in good condition with track set on all trails. Expect some drifting especially by the airport.

Trails have been groomed and are in poor to fair condition. We have tried to remove as many foot print and snowshoe prints as possible without ruining the trail. The snow is thin with icy areas and some marks still in the icy base. Track has not been set due to the low snow conditions.
