Superior Muni Trails are almost back to perfect. Only the back end of the Yellow trail is still a bit bumpy. Skiing in falling snow was awesome. Great job groomers!

Outstanding. Fresh snow beautifully groomed, with classic tracks, on all trails except the yellow. It looks as though the entire flat (west) side and first 3 hills of the east side of the yellow was groomed yesterday and is relatively flat and wide. The rest of the trail has plenty of firm base under a couple inches of fresh powder and is a bit uneven, but should be perfect with a few more groomer passes. Several skiers completed the entire loop today in spite of the lack of grooming, and are looking forward to the day that this premier trail is fully back in service!

Wow! 7 inches of fresh fluff all groomed right away in the morning...that's what I call awesome! It's like the movie Groundhog Day, every day you wake up, drive to Superior and it looks the same, fresh cord and perfect tracks! I had a big group out to ski on the purple trail today and it was perfect! The only complaint I have is that someone skated into the classic track and did some damage in a bunch of places, but no worries, the groomer will fix that! The. yellow was not regroomed after the snow yesterday but the road leading to it was in great shape with classic tracks and fresh cord!

Superior was getting gorgeous giant lake effect snowflakes when we arrived and about 3 inches of fluff was on top of the trails that had been groomed earlier in the day. The snow was absent as we drove over from Duluth until we got about half way across the bridge! The classic track was in awesome shape with the new fluff on top of the grooming and the skate lane was so fluffy the our skaters had no problems! We skied the red and green.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
All trails were groomed today and track was touched up on the inner purple. We have groomed the yellow trail also and it is in good to fair condition, aside from the section between DD and EE which is in poor condition, so use caution!

Hug the groomers! Wow...we classic skied the red and green today and it was awesome! The classic tracks were fresh and firm, the cord was amazing too! Seven day a week grooming makes it worth the drive from anywhere! Before the snowmobile trail crossing there are two spots with ice you can get around and just past it there is another that you have to go over, it was ok though, nothing they can do about it with the equipment they have.

Another great ski at Sup-town Muni. Things were a bit crunchy and some debris in spots. But, overall, really good thanks to the constant grooming. I used my best pair of skis and incurred no damage. But you may want to go to your b-teamers until we get more snow. Even the yellow loop was groomed. Though the back half was pretty wavy. Fresh grooming track was going out when I reached the loop merge.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
All trails were touched up today and the "flat" side of the yellow trail has had 2 grooming passes out to the end. The hilly side of the yellow is groomed only up to the 2nd bypass, as tree work continues on that side of the trail. Check for the OPEN sign on the ski shack as we are trying to staff the building until dusk when possible.

Trails are in great shape both classic and skate. Some small patches of ice near the trail head but easy to avoid. Groomer was just finishing.

All trails were freshly groomed and tracked today. The first quarter of the yellow trail is groomed and tracked and we will continue to work on that trail. We are pleased to let you know that the ski shack will be open for your use on Saturday and Sunday, dawn to dusk.
