All trails are groomed this morning with the exception of the Alps (to be groomed tomorrow). Fresh tracks are set on groomed trails. Overall conditions are very good but scattered areas have debris on trails from the high winds.

The 6 k lighted loop and Leo's loop are in excellent condition. Best ever. Farther out all trail segments were very good but varied a bit. Not all segments have been recently groomed, Bushwacker (7) not since receiving the light snow a couple days ago. That segment also had some uneven areas on the skate lane. Alps (L and P) not groomed at all, reportedly will be later today due to mechanical difficulties with the Piston Bully. The all time record snowfall earlier this week has to be a huge challenge for groomers that continue to do excellent work!

Conditions were great and getting better. All skate lanes have been groomed and classic track set on all the main loops. The PistenBully was continuing to pack the skate lanes while I was there and things were setting up nicely. No bare spots. Lovely deep tracks! Nine Mile is in business! Why couldn't we get this snow in December?

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
The majority of the recent snowfall (15+") has been packed and tracked. The trails were a bit soft yesterday, but firmed up overnight and were groomed again today. Conditions are excellent on nearly all trail segments. We will be grooming again early tomorrow, and should be in great condition for the weekend.

I skied the 20 K and 6K segments of 9 mile today. Classic tracks were good for the most part for about half of the 20 K. The other half the trail wasn't groomed yet. But it was still fast and I couldn't get into the previous marks. There are no bare spots and no debris. I actually had the opportunity to head toward the most difficult part of the trail on the backend of the 20 K segment. Now that is some challenging skiing and extremely fun. I didn't even realize it was an additional black on the backside of 9 mile. There were no classic tracks set on this segment of 9 mile, but it was extremely fun and challenging.

Very cold but beautiful conditions. No bare spots nor ice anywhere to be seen. Tracks were a bit shallow but nothing so shallow as to cause any issues even on corners. Occasional debris in the tracks but much better than I expected given the wind. Because of the fresh cold snow, it was definitely slower than usual. Even using Swix Polar kick-wax, I had some mild sticking issues. There was no issue with grip today! The 5k, 10k and Y loops were open. 20k was in process of grooming today and will be finished tomorrow.
