All trails were tilled and tracked and conditions are excellent at Swedetown! The Snow Bike Trails get firmer every day as well, but riders are reporting a few soft spots where reduced tire pressure is the norm. Grooming completed at 10:00 am.

Although it's cold out, the Husky is back in business! Trails were packed and widened last night and are being tracked this morning. Skiers may find the Husky out later in the morning finishing trail work--please be careful because we will be doing reverse passes on Birch, Tamarack and Powderhouse. The trails are firming up nicely, and the conditions are excellent throughout the system, The Snow Bike Trails and Multiuse (Dog) Loops should also be firming up nicely after all the new snow was worked in this week.

We hope to have repairs on the Husky done today: please be patient and bear with us while we do everything we can to get it back out on the trails. The trails have been packed by the Husky in preparation for tiller grooming later today. The groomers have had their work cut out trying to keep up with the snow accumulation this week and we’re looking forward to getting the Husky back out as quickly as possible. Posted at 7:00 am.

Wow! Like everyone else, we’re struggling to keep up with the influx of new snow. The Storm Loops (Len’s, Tiger Loop, Valley, Greenstone, Pine Ridge, and Cedar) were rolled and packed this morning, but high winds and new snow are filling in our efforts quickly. Coupled with bitterly cold temperatures, we are doing limited work on the trails to ensure the safety of our groomers and encourage skiers to exercise caution if venturing out.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Unfortunately, the Husky met with misfortune on the trails last night and is currently broken down on Papa Bear. We will continue to snowmobile groom in these rather difficult conditions. The grooming plan for this morning includes Valley, Greenstone, Pine Ridge, Mama Bear, and the Tree Loops (Cedar, Birch, Tamarack). We are working at packing in the snow on the Multiuse (Dog) Loops and Snow Bike Trails but large amounts of drifting snow have slowed our progress. Please check back here for updated reports throughout the weekend.

Firsthand: Classic

It was a pretty day on the trails - snowing with more snow expected later. I skied Cedar and Tamarack Loops and the classic tracks were very good. While out skiing, saw the big Prinoth groomer at work.
