When in the snowbelt and having snow showers all morning, what do you do? Follow the groomer! He took us from the easy, to the moderate and the difficult trails. We skated and strided three hours. Nice trail system with attractive woods. Only a handful of other skiers.

Great ski conditions at Swedetown. The new Prinoth Husky groomer provides great results. Skate skied Cedar and Birch Loops, part of Pine Ridge and Powderhorn Loops. Perfect skate lane conditions, classic tracks appeared great as well; no debris in tracks.

On a very snowy day I skied down Pine Ridge Trail and then out around Greenstone Loop. Classic tracks were set but in the early afternoon lots of new light fluffy snow was coming down. It was like being in a snow globe for a while there.

Ideal ski conditions at Swedetown today. A bit of fresh snow and new grooming made for a great ski day. We skated in the morning. After lunch we used our classic skis. Both skate and classic conditions are excellent. Moderate temps and light snow added to the great day. Despite the thaw a couple of weeks ago, consistent snow showers have kept the snow in good shape. The chalet is open as usual and busy.

All skate decks had a few passes with the ginzu and conditions were quite good. More snow is falling as I report this morning (Monday).

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The trail has firmed up after the above freezing temps for a day and a pass of the ginzu made for nice skating on most loops. Best snow is up top and middle with a few uneven areas on the 1km or so papa bear.

Trails groomed and tracked this morning. Given the significant snowfall it was a bit soft for freestyle but no complaints!

The Snowglobe continues. Another 6" or so of fluff being rolled into the trails - probably 2-3 feet or so in the woods and a good thick base on the trails once everything is rolled/groomed in.
