Observation
[ Good skis ]
When I left this afternoon Paul (groomer) was out setting new classic track that looked very good.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle Secondhand
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skied 11-12:30. Again, similar conditions reported days past. A number of kms were re-groomed so edging wasn't/isn't a problem. Word from others suggest the Finland loop is problematic. Deep Woods is said to be in decent condition. Still lots of trash down on the trails and classical tracks, although defined, are quite dirty in spots. Maybe go for B skis if one is overly concerned with marring bases? Fair number of skiers out today. Bottomline, very good skiing along trail sections.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ B skis ]
Hearing that Alex had a good amount of snow I was excited to head to Andes as I really like this trail. However, the classic tracks were mostly ice and the skate deck looked pretty worn over and icy. Lots of debris on the trail. Perhaps after grinding up the snow and resetting the track things will look up. A good snowfall would do that too!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Conditions are about the same as reported yesterday. Some sections of the skate deck are covered with leaves and pine needles; especially bad around the junction of Chuckwagon with the main trail. Other than that, pretty fast skating today.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Hard, somewhat icy skate deck but generally no problem and rather fast. (I was skating on older skis flexed soft with degraded edges.) Better conditions on the shortcuts and Haugs that had a thin layer of softer corduroy here and there, but everything is skiable at least. Classic tracks are frozen in, but in many places littered with leaves, sticks, and pine needles because of the winds over days past.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle Secondhand
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Shortcuts were groomed post the warming and then freezing temperatures and skied nicely, and Paul was going over these again as we skied this afternoon laying down some good corduroy. The other trail sections and loops are ok and can be skied but not as much fun given the hard, somewhat icy skate deck. Paul was waiting for the winds to die down before re-grooming these. Winds of 35 mph resulted in lots of debris on the trails and in the classic tracks.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle Secondhand
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The trails survived the rain and meltdown very well. The classic track looked great and according to skier using the track it was good. The skate deck was everything from firm, icy, great, to soft. Paul (groomer) is going out after 3:00 pm tomorrow to freshen up the skate lane before the high school team shows up.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Trails were re-groomed after yesterday and are in great shape. The Deep Woods and Finland loops are now open. Previously groomed trails sections are firmer but a few softer spots remain. Most everything skated nicely. Classic tracks are well-defined. Jack and Luke Baker reported the skate deck in Deep Woods and Finland soft, not unexpected as this is the first grooming.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Main trail (Whispering Pines) is now open (with classical tracks too), in addition to the upper and lower shortcuts, Haugs, and Chuckwagon. The newly groomed sections are still somewhat soft, but certainly skiable. We skied late morning into early afternoon. Snow was getting a bit moist, but not too bad. Clouding over on the drive home, so if this extends over the trails it might help. Nice skiing all-in-all.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
As of late morning into very early afternoon, both shortcuts were groomed down to Isaac Lake. Beautiful day and most sections skied nicely. Skate deck has firmed up but still hollow is some spots. No classical tracks set. Temperatures were rising. Photos from Kayo Aslagson.
