Firsthand: Classic

Good deep and firm classic track unfortunately has a bunch of oak leaves in it in many sections, there are some ok areas, but many of the hills are too steep to use the tracks much anyway. Skate lane very good - firm but not hard with plenty of edge grip.

Classic skied the outer loop (after skiing 2 loops at Wolf Lake -- earlier retirement has its benefits). Quite a few oak leaves where oaks are growing. Now I know why I usually skate at French...leaves in tracks without fresh snow and my poor kick was selection.

French Rapids was groomed today. I have not been out there to see out it turned out, but it should be fairly good with the amount of snow we have.
