Wolverine is my favorite area. Superb snow, perfect grooming, and great weather today. There are a couple of drifts around Powderhorn pond, but otherwise clean deep tracks. The Powderhorn lifts were not running. My husband skated the outer loop, said deck was excellent. I came back via Cliffs trail - wonderful long glides. They've spruced up the trail signs and maps and added groomed snow bike trails since we were last here. Note : Tuesdays they host elementary school skiing, so the chalet is booked then. Had a fabulous ski day.

Cold but beautiful morning! Both groomers were out most of the morning. Piston Bully packed a good firm skate deck. Chalet was toasty warm with good company. Not much wind today but the snow is cold and slow. Overall wonderful day in the woods!

Enjoyed a great day of classic skiing! Tracks were solid and not icy. Thank you volunteer groomers for making my day so enjoyable. Being outside is the best. The chalet was warm. A dedicated volunteer was closing the chalet for the day and was busy cleaning and stoking the stove. Your efforts do not go unnoticed!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The groomers reported that all trails are fully groomed and track set. A few inches of snow fell overnight which added to the base. Gusty NW winds with some lake effect during early morning. That has cleared to a bright sunny afternoon.

First timer out here, and I had a blast! Cold temps and very windy conditions; lots of drifts over many part of the trails. Still, it seemed recently groomed as well as packed and tracked enough to get some decent skiing in. Yes, there's sticks and debris down but given the wind, not surprised. Absolutely beautiful area, I had a very enjoyable ski despite weather conditions. Mostly I'm glad to be somewhere that I can confidently practice my downhill tucks and there's enough snow to cushion my falls. Thank you, groomers, and all involved in this trail system; what a little piece of XC ski paradise!
