Great conditions out at Cleary Lake. We did the Poplar Creek and Ironwood Trail. Skate deck was firm and with good coverage aside from a few spots on the Ironwood Trail. Great glide, good fast (but not too fast) conditions.

The trails at Cleary are about as good right now as they get. The 1" dry snow we got last night covered the leaves and grubby looking spots, making a big difference from just yesterday. It was lightly packed this morning but the track was not reset. The skate deck is nice and firm and uniform across the width (mostly) with no twigs or debris. The track is nice and firm, again with very few leaves. There are tread depressions are everywhere.

Classic tracks were holding up well under heavy use through late morning. Leaves, twigs, and reeds in the usual locations; but not grabbing skin classic skis at 36F. Skaters were working but appeared to have adequate glide. Lovely wooded landscape provides wind protection most of the trail.

The classic tracks were in very good to excellent condition this morning, with some leaf debris along a few stretches. I used my good skis with no issues. Lower Ironwood was open, but beware of some rollers near the bottom of the steep descent. There were reeds poking through the snow on the bog, with skier-set classical tracks. Upper Ironwood was in excellent condition. The skate deck looked great. It was freshly groomed with good snow cover. Temps were in the high teens and the snow was getting faster. Thank you to the Cleary groomers!

Trails were fully groomed for classic and skate. Classic tracks were good in most places with a couple spots flattened out around the turns. A few leaves and twigs in the tracks, but not enough to cause any issues. Overall great conditions for skiing!

Decent night, some leaves and twigs. Beautiful lit trails with the tracks decently set on Poplar and lakeside trails.

Plenty of snow on the ground and didn't see any thin spots. The classic tracks were pretty shallow but were there for 90% of the loop.

There's a gorgeous track set on all the Cleary trails! Hooray! The skate deck is very firm, having set up nicely with the colder temps. For whatever reason, the surface is not very uniform, with lots of ruts and undulations. Certainly I couldn't complain, as the woods were beautiful and the snow was pure white.

Very disappointed at Cleary. They have ample snow but the trail grooming was very poor. Very uneven and hadn't been groomed for a while. As a result the snow is hard packed and hard to get an edge. I'll skip it until more snow or until regroomed. No tracks for classic.
