With the light, fluffy snow and forecasted high winds staff are only rolling/packing the trails today Thursday. The strategy behind rolling today is that the grooves made by packer will catch the blowing snow and thus keep more snow on our trails. By keeping more snow on our ski trails we can (hopefully) extend their lifespan and maybe even ski longer than a week at a time. Groomers will be out Friday to set classic tracks.

Wonderful first time visit to ski the trails at Warner Park. Good trail set for most of way around lake, some windblown sections. Wonderful trail layout and scenery. Some leaf litter in trails slowing down the travel, but it is a beautiful park so not to worry. Double track trails for classic, no skating grooming. Seperate multi-use trail also groomed well. So nice to get out in winter sunshine on a day with temperatures above zero.

The thawing and then freezing of the snow has made the trails very icy and some areas are quite treacherous. We would not recommend skiing at this time.

The trails were last groomed on Monday, December 31. Ski Patrol reported the trails are in good condition. Oak leaves made it difficult to glide in places. We're posting the trails in fair condition.
