[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skate skied the North Loop from 3-4pm. Deck was slightly firmer than yesterday most likely due to the cold and it being skied in just a bit more. I found it to be a bit faster than the previous day. I came across the groomer resetting classic tracks, I believe on the entire system. They look pretty. The skate deck wasn't touched; my opinion it doesn't need it quite yet.

Skied the North Loop and Tram. Skate deck is firm in almost all areas. Snow is crunchy and cold as expected, but I wouldn't say it's soft in almost all places. A few twigs and leaves but nothing that cannot be avoided so continue using good skis. Just haven't seen those in a few weeks. I heard grooming ended around 5pm Friday so that's why I didn't see any snow drifts. I also heard from the grooming team that there most likely won't be another grooming until after the weekend, maybe later on this week. Probably won't need it. Just needs to be skied in a bit more. I'm sure subject to change with the weather. Still a wonderful flat skate deck. I saw the classic tracks set on most areas.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Entire trail was groomed for skate and tracked. Note: The winds really picked up this afternoon so the tracks will be good in some areas and possibly snow filled in others. Mother Nature won that battle today.

Skied from just before noon until just after 1 pm, hitting up mainly the north and south loop. The skate deck was groomed again last night which made it firmer and a bit faster. It was also nice that grooming happened last night to level out some of the up hills on the south loop. It's really setting up nice. Parking lot jam packed at 1pm, next spots are the road. Just glorious out.

Skate skied the North Loop starting at noon. The connector trail was pretty firm. Once started in on the loop at Langraf Rock, it was a bit softer but still firm, more firm than what I expected. Being a bigger lad, I'd be the first to wine about soft conditions but there was nothing to cry about today. These conditions make the downhills much safer also. I saw on FB the groomer was going out again. If it wasn't close to perfect skate skiing today, gotta imagine it will be Sunday.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Ski Trail - Entire trail was tracked and groomed today. It was a bit of a challenging groom with all the moisture in the snow to start out with and it now drying out. It could be soft, hopefully it sets up overnight. Enjoy. Hope to see you on the trails.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Ski Trail - Trail was rolled today. It could be skied but will most likely be a bit soft until it gets finish groomed. Grooming plans: Groomers will be out tomorrow afternoon to finish groom. Fatbike Trail - Trail was groomed tonight. It had snowed another 1/2 inch while I groomed and was still snowing when I left. If it freezes good tonight it should be good riding. I'll check it out tomorrow night again and if it needs it groom it again.

[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Had a terrific time today, skated around the entire trail. Freshly groomed this morning and the skate deck was smooth yet firm. Trails could not be in any better condition. Thanks and appreciation to the grooming crew. I'm rather picky when using my best race skis but I'll have no problem using them at Hickory, the trail is clear of any sticks, needles or pine cones. I drive in from Eau Claire, well worth the drive.
