Notes

The trail is located about two blocks West of Hwy 169 on Bass Lake Rd. Overall this is a nice little gem. The terrain is very gentle and seems an ideal place for a family with small children or beginner skiers.

Good conditions, some leaves and animal droppings but 95% good. Some footprints despite signs stating skiing only. Tracks mostly well set but could use grooming in some spots like bottom of hills with curves as expected. Freestyle was also in good condition. I did both trails and logged 2.82 miles on Strava and will come back. This is an easy trail, winding thru open areas on the golf course as well as thru wooded paths.

We had a good ski at Eagle this morning. The Eagle Lake Trail had a nice track, a little shallow at times, but still good. The skate deck was a slightly uneven, but not bad. The Pike Lake Trail through the woods near the lake reminded us of the old single track trails.

Skated around Eagle Lake trail multiple times. It was a lot of fun; the trail was in great shape. It looked like it had been groomed relatively recently. The snow was pretty firm, at least compared to how soft it can be at times on this trail. There was a little bit of grooming rutting but it was pretty ignorable, and nothing that actually caused problems. No footprints or evidence of people walking their dogs on the trail. Minimal tree debris. The classic tracks looked pretty good overall; maybe a bit shallow in some places but not wiped out or anything.

Trail is groomed with hard chopped snow. Tracks are shallow but you can follow them and get some kick. The walkers haven't ruined the Pike trail yet. I used swix green kick wax but blue would have worked better on the hills.

The first kilometer and the lake trail are beat up but the rest is decent. I used Swix green and it worked well.

Skate deck is very soft and slow. To make matters worse, someone walked on the skate deck with snowshoes. I gave up and went somewhere else. Classic tracks looked good.

Classic track set excellent on Pike Lake trail. Looks like it was just groomed today. Eagle Lake trail classic track set well with some soft spots. Freestyle track groomed on this trail also. Maybe a little soft in places also. About 2.5 kilometers on Pike Lake trail and 1.5 on Eagle Lake I estimate.

Shout out to the groomer this afternoon! After shoveling the drive way I decided to ski over to Eagle Lake. Pushed my through the deep snow to get there and was expecting to have to break trail around the park too. Just as the trail was coming into sight the groomer went by. Nice tracks set! Enjoyed a nice ski around the freshly tracked park.

Very icy and not recently groomed. Better in the woods but wouldn't recommend if you've got another place to ski. Did two loops skijouring and the conditions at the beginning are quite bad but it does get better. Nice weather.

Three Rivers says Pike Lake trail closed because of downed trees but it has not been updated since Dec 22nd. No tree problems now. Trails have not been groomed yet. Skier made track for the most part. Some leave debris in woods. Drifting in open areas. Skate skiers were out on Eagle trail which has been packed. Entire system is about 2.7 miles.
