Skied both Pike Lake and Eagle Lake trails. Each trail is 2.5 K according to signage. Groomers have now set classic track. Track is thin in woods but no dirt. Great conditions after recent couple inches of snow. Best skiing here in 3 years.

Trail was groomed but tracks were not set and skate deck wasn't in good condition. Snow coverage was good for the most part and conditions were fast. I came across a tree full of noisy crows and I must have spooked them.

Classic skied just after tracks were set. For the most part conditions were excellent. Had to bend a branch back off the trail north of driving range. A few spots with stems from small plants coming through the track. Variation on track from previous years coming out of woods on Pike Lake trail meant a very steep climb up onto the western edge of the golf course. Second time through I skied around to the left and caught the track up on the Eagle Lake/golf course trail, then cut back over to Pike Lake trail on top of hill. My only disappointment was that on my second ski through both loops/trails a hiker/walker had plowed through portions of the track.

A dusting of blowing snow filled in the tracks but I was able to ski in them. The Lake trail is open but I would use B skis for that trail. I skied with my summer storage wax still on and my glide was ok despite the single digit temps. I used my metal edged touring skis because the conditions are not ideal yet. A few skiers were out today.

The Eagle has landed and so have the groomers! I was surprised to ski in good tracks on the golf course today. There is some exposed grass, but very little. The skate deck was wind blown and not used very much. What a great start to the season.

The trail was roughly packed and there was a very shallow skied in classic track. There were a few thin spots with some grass showing but it's a golf course.
