Re set the track today. It was a little tougher to get good track on the heavily used areas closer to the parking lot. The farther out you go though, they look really good. Enjoy!

All trails are set with fresh tracks! We had a great team out grooming this morning, and because of that, we were able to really widen out the trails. Unfortunately, -28F is too cold for my phone to capture a photo of these beautiful trails, so you will have to go and 'ski' them for yourselves!

These trails are in great condition with well defined track, and only very minimal and sporadic debris under the big pines. The snow was fast today adding to the delight on those long roller coaster sections that predominant so many parts of this trail system. I skied the outer perimeter trails and found only one 100 yard section by marker 28 where a few snowmobiles had entered from the Taconite Trail I believe and eventually turned off on the ATV trail. It was clear sailing then all the way back to the parking lot on perfect track.

Great ski today in 7 degree weather. It doesn't look like the trail has been skied much in the last couple of days. Tracks are well formed and firm. One of the best single tracks in the area. I ski here when I can get a grooming report. Keep them coming.

It was a beautiful day on the trail. It was 16 above and freshly groomed. There was six cars in the parking lot. I saw three other people on the trail.

Fantastic day on the trails, all newly groomed, beautiful tracks set in fine snow. Could have stayed out longer but ran out of daylight!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Heard there were a lot of skiers enjoying the trails last weekend, that's awesome. We got just enough snow to groom fresh tracks. I'm just going to say it: best tracks of the season. It's looking good folks, get on out there!

We had some good snow to work with today. It's a little soft, but the tracks looked beautiful behind the sled and should set up nice.

Excellent conditions, skied several sections. Tracks are solid and plenty of snow. Very little debris.

I skied all afternoon on perfect classic tracks. The trees are heavily coated with cotton candy like snow, amplifying the silence and stillness, while the deep cold only added to the sense of isolation and separation from my city life and city brain. I knew I was experiencing something out of the ordinary and perhaps something more familiar to my childhood winter memories. Eventually a good enough balance was found between skiing, pausing, looking, taking pictures, and being sensible of time, cold, and the return to the parking lot. This place on a bad day can create etheral altered realities and a very good ski, the way it is now makes it worthy of pilgrimage.
