We strided and had a beautiful ski. Temperatures were about 40 degrees and sunny yet the trail conditions were perfect. Great job by the Brown County groomers handling all that snow. The skate lane appears to be firm.

Classic skied this morning. The lighted loop was groomed, tracks and the skate deck were awesome! The PB was out on part of the Birches packing the new snow. Just a hand full of skiers were out. The chalet was open. Best tracks I have skied this season!

The groomers have done a remarkable job of giving us the 4K lit loop to kick or skate after the record storm. Conditions were excellent. The groomers were actively expanding Main Street toward the Zoo as I departed. You'll be glad you came, Carpe Skiem!

Super Bowl Sunday at The RFC. Kicked around the Oaks, the interior of the Maples, the Main Streets, and Lit Loop. Tracks holding up after heavy use over the weekend. Plenty of wind debris in select zones of the Oaks. If you are coming out to skate, you can use your good skis. Carpe Skiem!

The RFC was a busy place this morning! The Gnarski and Bay Nordic groups were active with lessons; the UWGB Nordic team was busy doing interval training, and the set up was underway for the "Ales on the Trails" event. Just a gem of a morning. Great skate conditions throughout the network. Classic skiers found awesome, full depth tracks starting on Main Street. Best tracks in three seasons! Pers Loop had far too many Oaks leaves in the rails, but overall it was great striding today. Carpe Skiem!

Skate deck report on Maple, birches, oaks trails. Freshly fallen snow of 1 to 2 inches being groomed as of midmorning. Skate deck is wide, level, and clean. The new snow freshened up the trail and good skis may be used. The newly fallen snow made skating a bit slow but still very enjoyable. Classic tracks were not present. Picturesque trail with minimal traffic.

The skating at the Camp is outstanding! Skied the Oaks, biathlon loop and part of Pers Loop. Awesome conditions. A few patches of pine cones to watch out for and a small bare spot on the Birches where it meets the road. Thank a groomer!

The good skating conditions continue at The RFC. Skated the Oaks, Maples and far-reaches of the Birches in 19 degrees under brilliant sunshine. I used my good skis. There is occasional, yet navigable wind debris and two very short thin areas in the Oaks near marker 44. You'll be glad you made the drive.

I read the reports and decided to go for it today. I found good conditions for skating. Snow is a bit crusty but not icy. No classic tracks seen.
