Fabulous skating at twilight today on the Main Streets, the Oaks (with the exception of the Cedar Swamp at marker 44 where it is thin), and the Lit Loop. The grooming team has done a remarkable job. B skis suggested given the navigable wind debris and the very few thin areas you'll encounter. You won't be disappointed (unless you want to classic ski, there are no tracks). Carpe Skiem!

Skating done on Maples, birches, biathlon Loop, lighted loop, and oaks. Some debris, but trail was compact with good grooming. Coverage essentially 100%. Perfect day to accompany friends completing their virtual Noquemanon.

The trail appears to have been tilled today with mostly good results. I observed some large pieces of gravel that were pulled to the surface in a 20-meter stretch of the main trail adjacent to the campground. It's mixed in with a bit of oak leaf litter so not easy to see. Also found two large pieces of metal there, held together by a bolt. Possibly from a groomer track. It is best to use caution on this little section for now. The gravel was found on the south one third of the trail width, on the right side of the trail as one is heading out to ski.

Skated the Oaks, the interior of the Maples, and the Lit Loop. Terrific coverage accept for a few navigable short stretches in the Cedar Swamp of the Oaks. 7 degrees with a strong wind, coupled with "cold snow equals slow snow" made for good workout. Great job groomers. Carpe Skiem!

Skate deck report on Maple, birches, biathlon, and lighted loop. Overnight grooming improved the trail. A little less debris than yesterday, but still moderate. Windy conditions, even in the trees. Fair or good day today.

Birches skate deck had moderate tree litter. The snow was cold and the going was slow. No diagonal tracks.

Skate skied Oaks, Maples, and the Lighted Loop during the afternoon. Oaks was in very good shape, as it had been groomed today. Very nice skate deck with minimal debris. Maples had not been groomed in a couple days. The skating deck was firm, but no issues with getting an edge. Marginal debris. I used B skis, but good skis would be fine on Oaks.
