Morning
Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skated Birches and Maples enjoyed firm and freshly groomed conditions. Some wind debris on short sections of the far reaches of the Birches and the hairpin turn on Pers Loop. Skate track on Maoles in nice shape (picture with red skis). The double tracked Oaks was not freshly groomed but the tracks are holding up (picture with blue skis). Enjoy. Carpe Skiem!

Good skating conditions today at The RFC in 28 degree, misty conditions. The grooming team was out as we skied. Excellent tracks set - the best looking tracks of the season! Carpe Skiem!

Skated Maples only this morning. Groomers were out but needed to clear downed tree on Per's Loop. Groomed portions were very fast although minor debris present. There was even coverage on hill after Fiona Corner (Jct 134.) Rock skis are advised. I did not see much viable diagonal track on Maples. I expect that tomorrow will be just as good; groomers are making the best of sparse snowfall.

Not groomed, but classic style users have skied in track. Condition was surprisingly good. Too warm to groom - web site hinted they would when temps drop. Beautiful in the woods.

Under blue sky and 23 blustery degree temps, skated Birches and Maples, including Pers Loop (which was fully covered). Very nice conditions for freestylers. The interior hills section of Maples was fast and fun. The groomers were out with the PB. As of 1 pm, no new classic tracks have been set. Carpe Skiem!

Beautiful day to ski at the camp. There had been a youth event over the weekend and the tracks were well worn, but there was plenty of snow cover. With the sun out it was a very nice classic skiing day and there was virtually no wind.

[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Blue sky, 32 degrees and a fresh snowfall all helped to fill the parking lot today at The RFC! Yesterday’s fat tire event and today’s hundreds of youngsters giving Nordic skiing a try left a well-used trail. The RFC is also home to one of the few biathlon courses in the State where Sunday’s 1 pm practice was taking place. I learned that if you’re interested in test-driving a biathlon experience simply ski out to the rifle range area on Wednesday at 5 pm, or on Sunday’s at 1 pm. Carpe Skiem!

Skated all but Pers Loop in 15 degree and sunny sky on a very firm deck. The frequent, recent grooming has resulted in 2-4 inches of compacted snow over a solid 1 inch ice base. It is thin and a little dirty in the far reaches of the Oaks, but overall a joy to ski on. Carpe Skiem!

Skated the lit trail in 30 degree temperatures. The RFC offered very good skating tonight! The grooming team has made the most recent light snows. No tracks cut. Carpe Skiem.
