The snow was perfect this morning for setting fresh tracks at Sturgeon! We had a great time grooming them and hope you have a great time skiing them. Get out there and shred on some sick pow!

New tracks on the ground! After this weeks wind the trail was begging to be groomed. Should be set up nicely by tomorrow and ready for a nice ski through the woods. All three parking lots are plowed. Very small amounts of debris left visible on trail (mainly pine needles under the beautiful Norway Pines).

With fresh new snow it’s a winter wonderland out there. Skied north and middle loops. Thanks U. S. Forest Service.

Lots of debris, and trail was washed out from wind. Good in spots where there was mostly deciduous growth. Still, a beautiful day to be in the woods! Lots of sunshine, little wind, and even heard rushing water as I went by the river in one spot on the south loop off Co Rd 65 parking lot.

From trailhead on #65 I classic skied both loops. Trails are in great shape, freshly groomed this morning. The additional trail down to the west side of the river (near the North shelter) makes it a lot easier to cross the river and ski the trails as a loop.

Fantastic tracked grooming by USFS Connie and Dave. Quarter incha fluffa in immaculate tracks. Skied North Loop and across the Sturgeon river. New access on NW side down to bottoms was wonderful, thank you.

Six more inches of fresh snow on the trail last weekend. All open segments have been groomed and tracks have been set. Enjoy the beautiful setting through some very scenic parts of the trail along the river or near Jean Lake. Stop out at either shelter along the trail for a quick break and to take in the views and solitude the winter woods provides.

Open sections of the trail have been groomed but no track has been set. Waiting for more snow to set tracks. Southern trailhead loop around Jean Lake has the best snow conditions for skiing.
