Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle

All trails groomed and tracked today, clean and white and setting up well. No icy spots left. Tracks looked very good. Only some of the shortcut trails weren't groomed yet.

First time skiing here, up from Madison. Had the kids with me so I didn't get to explore too deep into the trails, but from what I was able to get to, conditions were very good considering the warm weather. Consistent with very little debris.

Rocks had the best ski conditions of the season. Grooming was perfect for classic and skating. Plenty of snow cover and very little debris on the trails.

Freshly groomed after 6"+ of snow. A little soft, but that should change as temperatures drop. Some minor drifting and oak leaves due to the high winds. Overall, very good!

Great conditions! Firm and fast skate deck with full coverage. The new snow covered up all of the oak leaves and debris. About 3k lighted loop and new lodge are a great addition.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Skiable but very icy in places. As previous report stated, the classic tracks were mostly all ice. Skating was better, though a lot of the trails still have quite a bit of leaf litter (even found a small tree bisecting the trail in one place which I moved aside, but that was probably a one-off). There was a couple of great sections - Pine Ridge Trail, and Rolf's Ridge/Gary's Gulches.

What a difference from two days ago. Skied off and lots of ice. Green loop very poor, and red not much better. Classic tracks appear pure ice.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Trails were all groomed with good snow coverage and firm skate deck. Fairly heavy debris of oak leaves in some areas that could be avoided. Extra bonus was a beautiful day to ski, snow hanging on the trees and a brand new cross country ski lodge! The ski lodge offers a place to get warm, get your ski pass, clean bathrooms, fireplace, lockers and tables to eat your snack/lunch. Fat bike trails were also spectacularly groomed with lots is usage.

Green and red are recently groomed in last hour. Groomer still at it (thank you)! Soft under deck. Total snow cover. Beautiful filtered sunlight on corduroy.

Standing Rocks had a firm and fast skate deck but not enough snow to set tracks except for the man made snow loop around the old lodge. Needs more snow, plenty of oak leaves and debris (Northwest Passage and Outback), so bring the B skis. Several pictures of the new lodge with 24/7 changing room and bathrooms. A wonderful facility.
