Skied purple this morning at Greenbush. The grooming was excellent and the tracks were deep, but the strong winds last night and this morning had blown a ton of debris into the classic tracks. Most of the trail system had leaves in the tracks and I spent quite a bit of time outside the tracks to avoid it. Use your waxless or skin skis if striding.

Wow! Fabulous conditions. Did the black a couple times and it had just been groomed. So fun. So perfect. Brown was delightful as well. The cold must of scared people away. Pulled in at 10:30 and the place was deserted except for the groomer. Thank you groomer.

Great conditions! Skate deck was a bit soft but not too slow. Classic track looked perfect. We have had great skiing at Greenbush for past few weeks. Enjoy it now.

Today was great! Skating lane looked awesome and the tracks were also awesome! I may have seen 1 or 2 leaves in the tracks, but that's it! Skied until I ran out of fuel. All trails were super, the temperature was great and the sun was out! This made for one of the best skiing days of the season. This place has wonderful terrain for XC skiing. If you have never skied here, give it try! They have a great warm trail head cabin for you to use. Also have mapped snowshoe trails.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Greenbush received 7-8" of moderate moisture snow Sunday. All trails are groomed and tracked including the Black Trail; my personal favorite. Jeff was grooming almost all day Monday. Trails will be a little soft for w while. Great time to get the classic skis out.

These are the conditions that make you think, "Maybe I should try another Birkie". It was lightning fast. I skate skied all the trails. Solid skate deck with a sugar snow top. A light snow falling when I arrived turning to sunshine made for a gorgeous day.

The trails were scratched up in the morning (thank you groomers). Trails were hard and smooth. No ruts or bumps. Overall in good condition with some sections being excellent and other areas that you would lose an edge from time to time. The pine areas had some debris that could be skied through but would grab your ski at times. Downhills were fast and flat and easy to control. Back side of the purple loop was the best. It was definitely worth the hour plus drive.

This morning was one of those fortunate mornings where i got to ski on fresh corduroy, immediately after the groomer had gone through. The light corduroy covered a solid skate deck making for very fast conditions. I skied the purple, red and brown trails and saw only one small patch of ice. There is a bit of dirty trail as you go through areas covered by Evergreens. No classic track but that didn't stop the Elkhart Lake phy ed class from enjoying a morning on the brown trail.

The skate deck was awesome this afternoon. Classic tracks are iced over and nothing can be done until we get some new snow. Mark put over 3 hrs today, while Jeff and Terry hit it hard Tuesday. New groomer Mike broke the snowmobile mirror and was getting stuck on the Black Trail.
