Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
The Pisten Bully was out overnight to till and groom the skate deck on the manmade loops. Because of a few thin spots between grooming shed and rental build that small section was not touched tonight but is still very skiable. Tracks were not touched either but are still firm with an icy base which is to be expected with all the freeze/thaw we have had. Overall it is excellent spring type of skiing. Enjoy your day on the snow!

Variable conditions for skate and stride on the snowmaking loops this morning. Generally good, with some very good, some fair, and some icy spots. A shallow layer of loose snow on an ice base, softening as the day progressed. Occasional bare spots on the lower loops, mostly on the edges, which impacts the classic tracks. More snow up on the woods trails, but also more small debris. Downhills are very nice. Kudos to Mark for getting the trails back into good skiable condition for the hundreds of skiers on the trails today.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
The rain and warm weather has taken it's toll on our trails. Snow was moved from the playground to the start area to cover the bare ground. The skate deck was tilled and is in fair condition. A new classic track was set where possible and is also in fair condition. There are bare spots from the grooming shed entrance to the timing shed on the east side. The trail is skiable just don't expect great skiing at this time.

Observation
[ Trails Open: Partial ]
Walked from the parking lot to trail and found that water had collected and turned to ice when you first get on the man made snow. The rest of what could be seen was frozen and no loose snow so I didn't even try to ski. There did seem to be full coverage but hopefully the snow can be loosened and snow for covering the places where water pooled and formed ice.

Observation
[ Trails Open: Partial ]
I just looked at the man made loops at the park and they are very firm and icy. I personally would not ski them. That being said they are 90% covered and will be skiable as soon as we can renovate them. Grooming plans: Grooming operations will start after 6:00 tonight. If you are skiing at that time please give the groomer room to do his work (If I can see you you're too close). With a little patience we can get the trails skiable again.

Spring skiing on the snowmaking loops this morning. Soft, compressed slush on a firm base. A few icy spots and other trouble areas. Plenty of base on 98 percent of the trails. Most trouble spots are on the edges. Tracks, which are soft and icy, are most impacted by these few bad spots.

I was amazed at the ability of the groomers to keep this trail going right now. Thank you. Yes some ice in tracks at first, yes some corn snow and then more as it got warmer. But I was able to stride a full work out today. Thank you. If you have skied here and have not donated to snow making please consider it. Best donation I've made in a long time.

Very nice for skate and stride on the snowmaking loops this morning. A soft layer of corn snow on a firm base provided easy gliding. Not too chopped up when I left around 11:30. Tracks are best suited for double poling. A few more areas of surface dirt, courtesy of the deer and turkeys crossing the trail.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
The Piston Bully was out at night grooming the man made loops at the park. The skate deck was tilled and is in great condition. New classic track was set and are in great condition as well. Some areas of the classic track are getting a little shallow due to the hard pack under the trail. As is the case this winter the best skiing will be early in the morning and after sunset. We will suspend further grooming until the weather cools off. Hopefully the trails hold up.

Fresh groomed trail on man made loop early this morning with corn/sugary top on solid base. 28 F made it for delightful and fast ski. Put in 31km on the loops. By the time I was done, snow transformed to mushy snow cone type but still good. Parking lot was full when I left mid morning. Thanks to groomers for keeping us skiing - about only decent place left in Southern WI right now.
