I just checked Elver Park's website hoping to get out on my new skis but it said it was closed until further notice (dated Dec 27). Too much rain here.

Evening
Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Elver Park's 1K loop of manmade snow is a little slice ski paradise amidst the unseasonably warm temps in Dane County. The trail has been regularly groomed, and the skate deck is nice and firm--even after the rain this evening. Tracks are firm and deep as well. The snow vacillates from sugary in parts to hard-packed in others. No debris to worry about, so grab any of your skis and the quick track at Elver.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Dedicated MadNorSki folks (Yuriy, Dave Hugus, and Krystof, Bill Coady Peter Bartling, Gordy, John Bolton...) have performed a seeming miracle at Elver! The skate deck looked top notch and the classic tracks were deep and fast. A big woohoo, and much thanks to all who made this very fun 1k loop on artificial snow happen! Get out there and enjoy before it warms up too much...
