Conditions at Nordic were excellent. We started at 10:30. Skied the white loop classically in track that was fast and well formed. Changed over to skate a blue loop and another white loop. The skate deck had about 2" of ungroomed powder over a firm flat base. Excellent skiing for both disciplines. Best skis.

I was disappointed to find out grooming hadn't occurred, it seemed, since the recent snowfall. Skate skied the blue minus the last optional section. Will look forward to updates on when grooming is planned or occurs if we continue to have quality snow.

We skated today expecting the trails to be groomed after Presidents day. It appeared that the trails had not been groomed since the last snow. The snow was soft but 3 to 4 inches of had to be skied thru. Guess I was spoiled at McMiller on Saturday with the fresh corduroy. Enjoyed the day anyway.

I did the full Blue Loop. It doesn't look like they groomed after the last snow, though it's possible they may have groomed during it. For classic skiing it wasn't a problem at all since the classic track was well skied in. The skating lane in the optional sections of the Blue loop that don't get as much traffic looked a little soft with maybe 1 to 3 inches of fluffy new snow on top. Areas that got more skating traffic looked much more firm. The quality of the snow was really good though, so even without recent grooming it was very nice out there.

Arrived at noon expecting nicely groomed and packed trails after the snow we got on Sunday, only to ski through 2 inches of powder that was somewhat packed by skiers, but not by groomers. It's great out there with plenty of snow for good skis, but sure would be nice to ski on a packed, fast trail.

Great conditions with the new snow overnight and throughout the morning. Classic tracks for the entire system. Trails were being rolled for skating beginning around 10 am. Very smooth surface for skating.

Fantastic skate conditions! Arrived at 9 am and groomer wasn't out yet, though skating through an inch of fluff was fun. By 11, white and parts of other trails had the skate deck groomed. White has a lot of ice on the base, but the grooming helped cover that. The best was the first 6-7 miles of blue. Ideal conditions!

Great morning at Kettle. Crusty and a bit icy initially, but with more traffic the snow got churned up a bit and was great, fast, good coverage, a few icy areas towards the tail end of white/blue loop, but not too bad. Great job by the groomers, best ski of season so far for myself.

Icy conditions making things a bit dicey especially on the downhills. Conditions looked better for the skaters than for me (classic). All trails are open and the skating lanes are groomed. There is ice on some sections which is to be expected given the recent thaw yesterday and freeze last night.

The 40+ degrees temperature yesterday to the very cold 2 degrees made for very icy conditions especially the downhills. Many were avoiding the big downhills of the blue. The purple, brown, and White were ok. Grooming started at 10:30am and was still grooming at 2pm when I left. It got better as it warmed and more grooming.
