Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ B skis ]
Generally good skiing at Nordic today; north side of the trails are holding upper better than south end. Tracks were generally good but soft in some areas. Debris was mostly minimal; a few spots are down to grass/mud where sun is coming through. Blue loop at N7 was not groomed, but classic skiers had trailblazed anyways; it was a workout, but fun! Based on my ski at McMiller the day before, I'd say McMiller was in better shape.

Firsthand: Freestyle Secondhand

Nordic trails were soft with some hard/icy glazed patches, but mostly enjoyable. B-skis to good skis, depending how picky you are. A lot of people out, as the trails would benefit from another grooming (though the line said they don't plan to until Thursday). The steep section of the blue loop was not groomed. Hiker put down 2" footprint holes. Surprisingly there are a few spots that have thin snow. Hoping for more!

[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Classic skied brown, white, purple, and orange. A great ski day - much better than 8 icy days ago pre-snowfall. Tracks were generally firm and speedy, with only about a half dozen small bare spots and ice areas each that were easily navigated. Blue skies, decent temps, very good grooming - our ski days this season are numbered, so if you can, get out there.

Skied the outer blue loop a couple laps around 6:30am. Trail was soft, guessing not groomed since Monday morning. Was 20F but still soft and slow in many spots. Tracks were good though. Cut off at green as last portion of blue not groomed at all but still great to do one of best ski venues around.

Reported groomed at 4:30am. Did the blue green trails and the white trail. 6" of new snow groomed was soft as expected but still made for enjoyable skating. Some of the hill climbs were choppy due to the soft snow. I used the tracks many times as they were firm and faster.

[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
Conditions poor to fair. Skied the upper, flatter loops, slick, most areas were skiable, all the trails under the pines were basically ice. I was able to gave a decent ski, had to really focus to not have any falls. Not much the groomers can do with an inch or two of icy base.

[ Trails Open: Most, Rock skis ]
The two days of warm temperatures really hurt the trails. I tried to ski the blue trail but quickly realized it was going to be bad and turned off onto the red to get out of there. I then went on the white trail which was kind of groomed, but it was pretty bad in many spots. There are a few places that were decent and could get moving, but overall its in bad shape. I would recommend this for only the die hard who has rock skis and is confident on sketchy conditions. Hope we get snow soon.

Trails in good shape this morning. Warm overnight, so no grooming, not icy, a bit bumpy and uneven skate deck, but fairly good conditions. Slow going with the wet snow, some thin areas, but glad trails are holding up.

Pretty good. There were some icy patches near the trailhead. I skied the Blue and Red loops. It looked like the skate deck was freshly scratched up today. The tracks were about 50-60%. Some debris in the woods, nice and clean in the fields. The easy and intermediate sections of the Blue loop were pretty good and the hills were still in decent shape. The difficult section of the Blue was a bear. No tracks and an uneven deck with a huge rut down the middle. Some thin spots throughout, but no bare spots. Still worth the trip.

NIce classic ski at Nordic, late morning/midday today. Conditions are good to very good in most of the park for classic and skate. There are a few icy areas, but all are skiiable. Thanks to the groomers.
